Con más de 70 años, nació como única entidad de previsión obligatoria para los abogados y sigue su crecimiento hasta posicionarse como la primera entidad de previsión social en España. Más de 200.000 mutualistas confían en ella. D. Enrique Sanz Fernández-Lomana, Presidente de Mutualidad de la Abogacía, en esta entrevista habla de gestión y comparte las acciones que han desarrollado para hacer frente al escenario adverso al que nos enfrentamos.<br />\r\n

<p><strong>1- ¿Qué es Mutualidad de la Abogacía y cuál es su visión?</strong></p>\r\n
\r\n
<p>Mutualidad de la Abogacía es una entidad aseguradora sin ánimo de lucro fundada en 1948 que ofrece a los profesionales del mundo del Derecho y a sus familias soluciones a medida a través de planes de ahorro, jubilación y protección para cubrir todas sus necesidades de previsión e inversión.</p>\r\n
\r\n
<p>A cierre de 2019, contamos con más de 205.000 mutualistas que confían su dinero en nuestra entidad y alcanzamos un volumen de ahorro gestionado de más de 7.900 millones de euros.</p>\r\n
\r\n
<p>Nuestra visión es seguir mejorando el presente y el futuro de los profesionales del mundo del Derecho, defendiendo sus intereses y buscando la competitividad frente a otras alternativas de ahorro-jubilación y protección. De esta forma, ayudaremos cada día a más mutualistas y a sus familias a disfrutar de una vida más segura, más plena y feliz.<br />\r\n
</p>\r\n
\r\n
<p><strong>2- ¿Qué medidas está tomando la entidad para ayudar a sus mutualistas en esta situación excepcional causada por el coronavirus?</strong></p>\r\n
\r\n
<p>Nuestra principal preocupación desde que se inició esta crisis ha sido velar por las necesidades tanto de nuestro equipo de profesionales como de nuestros mutualistas. De hecho, en Mutualidad de la Abogacía nos adelantamos a la situación y desde finales de febrero ya contábamos con un Comité de Contingencia interno que elaboró un plan de acción para afrontar esta situación de la forma más apropiada.</p>\r\n
\r\n
<p>Asimismo, hemos adoptado varias medidas para ayudar a los mutualistas durante esta situación. En este sentido, a mediados de marzo acordamos considerar, con carácter excepcional, el aislamiento preventivo de los mutualistas como baja laboral y facilitamos el aplazamiento y prorrateo de las cuotas correspondientes a los meses de abril, mayo y junio para quienes lo solicitasen.</p>\r\n
\r\n
<p>En abril, lanzamos un paquete de ayudas para mutualistas que comprendía tres medidas económicas enfocadas a apoyar económicamente a los mutualistas más damnificados por esta crisis, los alternativos: Préstamos Ayuda COVID-19 individuales de entre 2.000 y 3.000 euros a interés 0%; 1.000 ayudas extraordinarias por importe de 750 euros cada una y; destinamos hasta 500.000 euros en ayudas a familiares directos de abogados que hayan fallecido por causa de la 19</p>\r\n
\r\n
<p>Además, en el ámbito social, hemos impulsado iniciativas encaminadas al acompañamiento emocional de todo el colectivo de mutualistas como: un servicio gratuito de llamadas telefónicas para ayudar a mutualistas mayores de 65 años que experimenten sentimientos de soledad y un servicio de atención psicológica gratuita por teléfono o videoconferencia para atender inquietudes de los mutualistas derivadas de la situación de emergencia sanitaria en la que nos encontramos.<br />\r\n
</p>\r\n

<p><strong>3- ¿Qué lección aprendida podría compartir de esta situación?</strong></p>\r\n
\r\n
<p>La lección que he aprendido es algo de lo que ya tenía certeza pero que lo he vuelto a comprobar en estas circunstancias: lo importante que es prevenir y anticiparte a los hechos.</p>\r\n
\r\n
<p>Para nosotros en la Mutualidad ha sido clave. Gracias a la previsión y a la agilidad que hemos tenido de adaptarnos a este nuevo entorno, logramos que el 100% de nuestro equipo humano estuviese trabajando desde sus hogares a pleno rendimiento desde antes incluso de que se decretara el estado de alarma.<br />\r\n
</p>\r\n

<p><strong>4- Con la aceleración de la transformación digital que estamos experimentando, ¿puede mencionar algunas acciones que estén coordinando desde el Comité de Ética y Inteligencia Artificial -CEIA-?</strong></p>\r\n
\r\n
<p>Me siento especialmente orgulloso de este proyecto que arrancamos en 2019 ya que el Comité de Ética de la Inteligencia Artificial es una iniciativa pionera en el sector financiero y asegurador en España y a nivel europeo avalada con un elenco de miembros expertos de primera fila en esta realidad.<br />\r\n
El objetivo del Comité de Ética de la Inteligencia Artificial consiste en velar por los aspectos éticos, legales y humanos que resulten de la aplicación de la inteligencia artificial a los procesos de la Mutualidad de la Abogacía. Este objetivo persigue el fin último de proteger a nuestros mutualistas garantizando la ética y transparencia en todos los procesos.</p>\r\n
\r\n
<p>En este sentido, uno de los principales proyectos que tensemos en macha es la implantación de un chatbot que comenzará realizando funciones de asistente virtual tanto en la web de la Mutualidad como en la app a la que tienen acceso nuestros mutualistas.<br />\r\n

<p><strong>5- ¿Qué valores marcan la diferencia en el día a día?</strong></p>\r\n
\r\n
<p>Los valores que marcan la diferencia bajo mi punto de vista son aquellos por los que yo abogo en la Mutualidad. Son nuestra guía de actuación y nos impulsan cada día para alcanzar nuestras metas:</p>\r\n
\r\n
<p>1. Creemos en las personas. Nuestro equipo está formado por personas comprometidas, que trabajan con talento e ilusión y que comparten un proyecto de futuro: el bienestar de nuestros mutualistas.<br />\r\n
2. Trabajamos con responsabilidad, conscientes de que gestionamos los ahorros, las expectativas y el futuro de miles de personas. Nuestros mutualistas se merecen que tomemos las mejores decisiones por ellos.<br />\r\n
3. Todas nuestras actuaciones son transparentes y contrastables. Asimismo, brindamos información relevante y veraz a nuestros mutualistas y mantenemos una actitud abierta y de diálogo con todos los grupos de interés.<br />\r\n
4. Profesionalidad: buscamos la mejora continua de nuestro equipo de trabajo para poner sus conocimientos, dedicación y capacidad al servicio de nuestros mutualistas. Solo así podemos ofrecer las soluciones más eficientes.<br />\r\n
