<p>En todos esos procesos hemos visto como las tecnologías han pasado a ejecutar tareas que hasta entonces eran realizadas por los seres humanos (o en algunos casos los animales domésticos). Durante la revolución industrial, la tecnología reemplazaba a nuestros músculos y durante la era de las tecnologías de la información la tecnología ha ayudado a nuestras neuronas, reemplazando en un principio las actividades principalmente administrativas. Lo que las tecnologías han hecho es cambiar los puestos de trabajo que los seres humanos realizamos, en un continuo proceso de eliminación y creación de los mismos.</p>\r\n
\r\n
<p>La sociedad ha sabido adaptarse a todos estos cambios modificando la educación y capacidades de cada uno de nosotros, dando como resultado un aumento de puestos de trabajo y prosperidad.</p>\r\n
\r\n
<p><strong>El progreso tecnológico no solo continúa, sino que se acelera. Entre esos nuevos avances destaca la Inteligencia Artificial (IA), que pone encima de nuestra mesa varias reflexiones.</strong></p>\r\n
\r\n
<p>Me gustaría céntrame en dos de estas reflexiones en cuanto a su aplicación en las organizaciones: el impacto en el empleo y su utilización ética.</p>\r\n
\r\n
<p class="text-align-center"> </p>\r\n
\r\n
<p><em><strong>El impacto de la IA en el empleo: </strong></em>Ahora no estamos hablando solamente de ayudar a nuestras neuronas sino, en cierta medida, a reemplazar a algunas de ellas. Hasta ahora las ciencias de la información han realizado tareas administrativas que no implicaban niveles significativos de razonamiento. Ahora la IA es capaz de razonar y de verdad reemplazar al ser humano en algunas tareas que impliquen un razonamiento. Pero hay otra variable que es la que quizás suscita más el debate y es la velocidad de incorporación de esta tecnología en la sociedad. En este contexto nos preguntamos si seremos capaces de continuar transformando nuestras capacidades y formación como en el pasado y si podremos crear nuevos puestos de trabajo para continuar teniendo un progreso como el que hemos experimentado hasta ahora. Algunos autores opinan que esto no va a ser posible y que podríamos estratificar la sociedad creando un segmento que no podrá trabajar, los llamados individuos irrelevantes.</p>\r\n
\r\n
<p>Mi opinión es que esto no va a ocurrir, simplemente la velocidad en la que se suceden los cambios es más grande y esta situación nos da vértigo. La solución a este problema ha venido siempre de la mano de la innovación, y en este frente estamos mejor que nunca. La velocidad de creación de nuevos servicios y productos es mayor y va a ir por delante de la adaptación de la sociedad manteniendo en círculo virtuoso que nos ha permitido llegar hasta donde estamos hoy. La evolución tecnológica es una fuente de retos, pero nunca ha representado un paso regresivo en la evolución de la humanidad.</p>\r\n

<p class="text-align-center"> </p>\r\n
\r\n
<p><em><strong>La utilización ética de la IA: </strong></em>Entrando en la segunda reflexión, si la Inteligencia Artificial realiza actividades que implican razonamiento, este hecho nos lleva a preguntarnos si ese razonamiento será correcto o no. Este es un punto extremadamente relevante que entra dentro de la ética en muchos casos.</p>\r\n
\r\n
<p>Pensemos que la mayoría de sistemas de IA están basados en entrenar el sistema (programarlo) presentando al sistema lo que el ser humano ha hecho en el pasado. En cierta medida le estamos diciendo a esas neuronas que hagan lo que nosotros hacíamos en el pasado. Esto en esencia paraliza el progreso anulando los cambios. Por ejemplo, si en el pasado todos los ingenieros eran hombres y entrenamos nuestro sistema de reclutamiento con los datos del pasado, nunca seleccionará una mujer para un nuevo puesto de trabajo en ingeniería.</p>\r\n
\r\n
<p>Por otro lado, es bien conocido que los seres humanos cuando tomamos decisiones mezclamos emociones con nuestro razonamiento lógico, pudiendo en muchos casos llegar a decisiones que sean peores que los que un sistema de IA pueda tomar.</p>\r\n

<p>En definitiva, cuando nos basamos en estas nuevas herramientas tenemos que pensar muy bien lo que estamos haciendo, es decir en cómo hemos entrenado el sistema y en la actividad que queremos realizar.</p>\r\n

<p>Creo que la IA, como toda nueva tecnología, abre un nuevo horizonte de oportunidades con retos que tendremos que resolver, pero en ningún momento representará un riesgo real al progreso de nuestra sociedad ni a la gestión y crecimiento de las organizaciones.</p>\r\n
