<p style="text-align: justify;">Con motivo del XXV aniversario del CEG, <strong>Enrique Verdeguer Puig</strong>, Director de <strong>ESADE</strong> Madrid, ha querido realizar una perspectiva económica y hablar del concepto de la excelencia, dentro de un contexto y una visión personal:</p>\n
<p style="text-align: justify;">En un entorno caracterizado por la velocidad de los cambios, la visión diferencial y anticipada será lo que marque la distancia entre las organizaciones excelentes y las demás.</p>\n
<p style="text-align: justify;">Si uno teclea en Google qué es excelencia, aparecen más de 43 millones de referencias. Si se teclea en inglés, los resultados superan los 56 millones. Sorprende que un concepto del que en principio tendría a pensarse que es relativamente minoritario y exclusivo suscite un interés tan elevado.</p>\n
<p style="text-align: justify;">El concepto de excelencia tiende a asociarse a algo de calidad superior, que es especialmente valorado y reconocido por la gente. En un mundo globalizado y digitalizado como el que vivimos, la excelencia adquiere una relevancia todavía mayor y ello porque hoy más que nunca es necesario diferenciarse, en un entorno caracterizado por la velocidad de los cambios y la dificultad de anticiparlos, Cada vez los ciclos de vida de empresas y organizaciones son más cortos, de modo que la excelencia de hoy no garantiza la excelencia en el futuro. El tema clave es cómo alcanzar dicha excelencia y cómo hacerla sostenible en una sociedad como la que se avecina.</p>\n
<p style="text-align: justify;">Si analizamos el mundo de la educación, cada vez se escuchan más voces reenviando la relevancia de la misma y la necesidad de alcanzar consensos generalizados y estables que trasciendan de las posiciones ideológicas. Este es el discurso recurrente que lamentablemente no se materializa en un país como el nuestro, tan dado a los planteamientos sectarios.</p>\n
<p style="text-align: justify;">Como ocurre en otros sectores, se están produciendo fenómenos novedosos que están cambiando sustancialmente el panorama de la educación. Así, por el lado de la oferta se incorporan agentes, como Google o la NASA, con gran capacidad de movilizar recursos de todo tipo que hasta hace poco tiempo eran ajenos a este mundo. Aparecen también formatos nuevos basados en las tecnologías actuales que modifican sustancialmente la forma de transmitir el conocimiento y que hacen necesario transformar la experiencia en las aulas. Hoy en día, buena parte del conocimiento está al alcance de casi todos. De hecho, ante esa inflación del conocimiento, la dificultad mayor consiste precisamente en filtrarlo y diferenciar lo que es relevante de lo que no lo es. Estamos no solo ante una revolución tecnológica sino ante un verdadero cambio cultural sobre la forma de transmitir los conocimientos y las experiencias educativas.</p>\n
<p style="text-align: justify;">Por el lado de la demanda, el escenario es también muy cambiante. Las necesidades de formación de las personas, empresas e instituciones tienen cada vez menos que ver con las tradiciones. Los conocimientos y competencias que necesitan adquirir no se satisfacen con las fórmulas clásicas.
